We hereby invite you to participate in the 2027 National Congress of the  Ophthalmological Society of South Africa. Approximately 850 delegates (based on the 2025 and 2026 numbers, excluding the trade) are expected to attend the 2027 National Congress of the Ophthalmological Society of South Africa in
Cape Town, South Africa.
This congress is the number one event on the South African ophthalmology calendar, with quality presentations and lectures by world-renowned keynote speakers supporting our mission, namely “prevention of blindness”.
A variety of opportunities exist for companies to promote themselves at this congress. The organising committee, chaired by Dr Johann Eloff, has compiled a summary of these opportunities, and invites interested companies to select the option(s) best suited to their marketing strategies and product profile.
The participation of the trade is the backbone of a successful congress.
We have great appreciation for your continued support of our congresses.
Please take note that the Cape Town cycle race will be hosted in the city centre around the CTICC on the day following the congress. Sunday, 14 March 2027. This will impact traffic around the venue if you plan of being close to the CTICC the day following the congress.

Please take note:

• Trade delegates / representatives in the service of companies participating in the trade exhibition OR involved as sponsors will be allowed to attend the congress.
• There are two free trade delegate registrations included in the fee per one exhibition space (3 x 3m).
• To qualify for the two free trade delegate registrations, you need to register them online by the early bird cut-off date of 7 November 2026.
• One complete registration per delegate is required. We do not accept registrations via e-mail, only complete online registrations that will be open from August 2026.
• Please complete the online notice of intention form by 30 June 2026.
• It is your responsibility to ensure that the organisers have received your Sponsorship and Exhibition Notice of Intention.
• Major contributors will get the opportunity to choose their stands first, coupled with a first come first served basis allocation of stand spaces.
• The allocation of floor space will start with the largest contributing company from 1 July 2026.
